'Claybourn' oilskin coats are the genuine article made from high quality soft finish oilskin using traditional sewing methods with extra attention paid to superior finishing. The result is a warm, dry, durable coat of exceptional quality.

Manning John Claybourn started making oilskin coats in 1910 at the age of 18 years. He traveled through outback Australia selling his coats to 'the man on the land' and country retailers, quickly gaining a reputation for the excellent quality and fit of his coats.

Claybourn Oilskins Pty Ltd continues to be a family business manufacturing in our own factory with a team of very experienced and skilled machinists.
